DBS Rescue

Giving dogs often passed over a chance, advocating for responsible pet ownership and curating a community of support for dogs and dog lovers.

Rescue

With a goal to impact the amount of euthanized dogs in Texas, we are turning our attention and resources towards adoptable dogs that are marked "Urgent" for any reason.

Rehabilitate

Rehabilitating dogs through transformative transitional training can range from introducing them to crates as safe spaces and basic obedience, to advanced training or "home dog" time

Promote

Promotion of the dogs we rescue begins the moment we make the decision to take them in, sharing the process from intake and evaluations to intros and adoptions!

Support

Helping dogs and their potential adopters connect to ensure the dogs go to loving homes, this will be a crucial step in our adoption process.

At DBS Rescue, we are dedicated to helping dogs succeed in finding their forever homes, curating a network of support for dog owners, and promoting dog friendly events and fundraisers that align with our passion for the advocation of responsible pet ownership.

— Help DBS make a Difference

DBS Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for dogs marked as "urgent" or "at risk." Our mission is to lower the number of adoptable dogs facing euthanasia and to advocate for responsible pet ownership.

We actively support our dog-loving community through volunteering as dog walkers and adoption counselors with Collin County Animal Services. We plan to further the support by hosting fundraisers, low-cost or free clinics, community events that advocate for responsible ownership and to build a 10,000 square foot facility to house the rescued dogs, offer them a space to complete transformative transitional training and to receive vet care ensuring every dog has a chance for a better future. Join us in making a positive impact for these deserving animals!

Why Support DBS Rescue

Enhanced Dog Visibility

Assisting adoptable dogs that are frequently overlooked due to their size, strength, age, and other factors can be difficult. We plan to overcome this obstacle by sharing the rescues journey from intake and evaluations, to training and intros online and offline when at events or enjoying doggy day aventures!

Transformative Transitional Training

With a goal to help the dogs adjust to home life, we will be allocating resources to help dogs become comfortable with crate training, being around basic life sounds like sirens, TV noises, visitors and other dogs. With a open concept facility in mind we plan to utilize consistent positive reinforcement and kibble training to help with barking and reactivity!

Supportive Animal Loving Community

Curating a network of supportive fosters, adopters, rescues, shelters, trainers and veterinarians will take more than two, become part of what we hope to build! The goal is to establish a community that actively and positively interact with each other to encourage more free and low-cost options for pet care and necessities!

Dog Friendly Events & Fundraisers

We plan to leverage our experience, knowledge, and creativity to host and sponsor more dog-friendly events with a purpose! From advocation of responsible dog owners, to dog training seminars to adoption events or fundraisers for not just the rescue, but for our dog loving community as well!!

Building a different breed of Rescue Facility

We are raising funds to construct a facility to not only home 20 kennels large enough to feel like a small room for a big breed dog. This can allow us to start with crate introductions as a safe space and give them more of a choice on if they want to be engaged with that day. We will not use funds for office spaces but instead plan to construct the kennel area to include a large open "living space" to allow volunteers to be with dogs at all times, as well as offer a home atmosphere for the dogs to receive "transformative transitional training." The facility will include another disconnected space to house a small veterinary office with a connected space for dog grooming both with 1-2 Kennels connected to a wall. This can allow us to not only support the rescued dogs and foster network better but extend the services as low-cost options to the dog community without adding stress or risks to the rescued dogs on site.

Consistent updates on local adoptables and DBS Rescues efforts!
